Cobalt Bottom and a Lesson on Faith

How was your weekend?. Mine was awesome. Really enjoying this warm weather. There is just something great about the weather. I spent time with family and the highlight of the week was delivering the sermon in church on Sunday (I do that once in a while to fill in), and how great the service was with everything else that went on. Whatever you are believing God for, step out in faith, act on your faith and press through for your miracle. The true measure of faith is in action, speaking, doing and walking.

I was finally happy to wear this cobalt skirt to church. I keep buying all these colored skirts which are not really appropriate for work and they end up sitting in my closet. I wore it the first time to work (here), but I was conscious the whole time. Our choir uniform was cobalt and blue again and I decided to do cobalt on the bottom and add the pop of pink...or is it orchid? Anyway, I like the way it looks with the cobalt blue. When next you wear cobalt, try it with hot pink or orchid.

Hot Pink and White Polka Dots (It's a Remix)

I've always worn red or black with black and white polka dots and wanted to try a new color. I guess any color goes with black and white polka dots. This is a modified version of our choir uniform. I was supposed to wear the hot pink with black but opted for the polka dots because I wasn't going to be on stage. I'm remixing the blouse today, as shown below, and the skirt remix was featured in a previous post as shown here. What's your favorite color to wear with black and white polka dots?

Playing in the Snow with my TJ Maxx Finds

I Just realized after taking these pictures that I'm all decked out in TJ Maxx except for the boots. $14.99 and $19.99 are the magic numbers when shopping at TJ Maxx for accessories and clothes and $29.99 for shoes; and I'm sure you know by now that they are online now. Although I do most of my shopping online, I would still rather shop in the stores. I sense a TJ Maxx giveaway coming soon on the blog....stay tuned.

In the past few weeks that I've gone to Pinterest and other blogs for outfit inspiration, all I'm seeing are bare legs, arms and cropped pants and flats. Can't do all that yet. If you're looking for cold weather dressing inspiration, I think you'll still find some on this blog. I'm still dressing for warmth and comfort. Sweaters, beanies, jeans and black pants from my closet have been getting all the wear. Hope all the snow and cold and wind disappear soon.

Grey with Pink Pleats

I wasn't going to let this weekend go by without wearing and showing some pink. Pink and grey was the choir uniform for Sunday. I added the black cardigan because it's still really cold. I can do bare legs in the winter but I don't joke with my arms. Keep in mind that I am apple shaped and I was able to wear my top tucked into this pleated skirt. Pleated skirts work well if you want to hide that tummy. Below are other ways I've worn the skirt.
