I'm sure you're familiar with this dress from Old Navy. Here's my take on it. Love it, love the material, and the elastic waist. The only thing I don't like about it is that the waist sits a little higher which doesn't work too well for my heavy top. Makes it even more pronounced. I'm hiding that problem with the jacket and I will find other ways to make it work. I love a challenge.

That dress is really cute on you! I have that problem with Old Navy dresses too though - the bust never seems to work out quite right, but I like your jean jacket solution :) And I'm loving that blue crepe shift dress you posted, great find!
