Fall Brights: Poppy, Navy and Turquoise

We had balmy weather on Friday, so I decided to wear this blazer as my jacket for the day. It had been sitting in my closet and I didn't want another season to go by without wearing it. Once winter comes around, wearing blazers will no longer be an option, at least for me.
I love the contrast between the poppy and navy. These are two nice colors to wear together.

Have a lovely week and do not let anything weigh you down. Lay aside anything that wants to steal your joy or keep you from moving forward. I am working on this myself...trying not to let anything steal my joy. At church we learnt about thanksgiving. Be thankful for everything. Even when things aren't going the way you have imagined, just be thankful. What I'm going through doesn't even compare with all the stuff I'm hearing on the news. I am grateful, thankful and awed by God's mercy on me.

P.S. Every Monday, I will start sharing a teeny bit of what I've learned through out the week to inspire you...if you don't mind.

  2. This is a great color combo and the jeans look great on you! I am always thankful because there are others who don't have as much as I do. It really puts things in perspective.

  5. This is a great look. I also have a heavier top and midsection and I find that blazers that are cut right and fit properly work wonders for my shape. Love it!

  6. that is a great blazer - i love it with the pop of turquoise!
I usually wear my blazers most often during the cooler months - why not wear them in the winter? They don't have to be outerwear.

    1. Things usually get crowded and uncomfortable when I wear a blazer and a jacket on top.

  8. Hello, Beauty! Great thoughts, great looks (love your color and texture choices!), great girl! I'm determined to wear my jackets this winter with a trench or other more substantial coat thrown over, ala cape. Also, elegant knit ponchos as wraps work over blazers. Gloves and scarves, too! I'm all over it.
