White and Maxi and a Brown Zara Bag

A maxi skirt is always a great alternative to jeans on the weekend. Sometimes I get tired of jeans and leggings because they rub on my skin and make me uncomfortable.  I still find it hard to decide what shoes to wear with a maxi skirt. I settled for these wedge sandals. I guess the length of the maxi makes it tricky. I also wore the same skirt here....and did not show the shoes I was wearing because they were wrong.

P.s The bag I'm carrying is empty. It only has the receipts in it. I was on my way to returning the bag back to the store but I decided to show it on the blog. I don't really like it because I feel it's too big. Well, they didn't take it back at the store because it's been over 30 days since I ordered it so I'm stuck with it. I think I will live with it.

The White T Shirt

I like participating in link ups like Style Me Friday because it helps me think outside the box and wear outfits I would not have thought of. This week's challenge is the white tee shirt. I wouldn't have reached for my white tee anytime soon if not for this challenge. Here's my look. It's casual because it's the weekend. I have one more white tee look I want to try soon. The cardigan is serving two purposes:
1) It's 50 degrees and 2) to conceal my big chest and big mid section for a more balanced look. Wearing a cardigan or  blazer is a great way to conceal a heavy top.

Stripes and Mint

I finally own a pair of jeans from GAP. The jeans from GAP never fit me because they're always low rise. I tried these mint jeans in the store after searching every where for the perfect pair. I decided to try a bigger size, and voila they fit. It was full price in the store (I cannot pay more than $40 for a pair of jeans) so I went online and it was on sale for 29.99. With my coupon I ended up paying even less. These are the famous skimmer jeans that I don't really like so I  ordered them in tall so they can look like real full length jeans. Skimmer jeans don't fit my body type.

Chambray and Gold Dots

Yes, the dots on this skirt are gold unlike others I've seen. I saw this skirt online and I could have sworn it was black with white dots. Well, when it came in...behold gold dots! I was going to return it but after much thought I decided to keep it.

Glammed Up

This is what. I wore to our church Anniversary dinner this past weekend. I really didn't have time to shop for an outfit for the event so I settled for this one that I found the day before. It was the only one left and it was in my size. Originally $300 (way overpriced in my opinion) and got it for about $80. I probably would have done better but I needed it for the next day. Anyway, it was nice to see everyone all dressed up and see how really beautiful all the women in our church are.
