I love infinity scarves. They are cozy, comfy, and if you still struggle with tying a scarf, they are your best bet. I keep wanting to get more. Here are some favorites. Also a perfect gift idea.

Cobalt Maxi For all Seasons

I never thought there would be more than two ways to wear this cobalt maxi dress. I wore it this weekend for my sister in law's baby shower. I got tired of wearing pants and wanted something more comfortable. I mentioned previously that I could wear the dress to bed...it's that comfortable. See below for other ways I've worn it over the years. Maybe I'll wear it with a blazer next time. What do you think?

Late Fall Wish List

I have been out of the shopping loop lately (that's a good thing I suppose) but here are a few items for work, play, and a night out, which have caught my eye for some late fall shopping. The striped blazer is definitely my favorite. Which of the items would you add to your wardrobe?

Cognac Boots and Target Tunic

It's boot season again and I finally brought my boots out of hiding. I think these ones are in their third season and they are beginning to get worn because I wear them so much. I'm beginning to love button down tunics. They are a little dressier and definitely great for my apple shape.

Today is an exciting day for me. I will share later because I'm writing this post in a hurry. But hint hint, there will be no more Engineer Style posts....Have a great weekend!

Over the Knee Boots

I got interested in over the knee boots last year and embarked on an all winter search for the perfect ones. I got one in taupe which I'm wearing in this post.  I also wanted a black pair but never found the right one. Well, this year it seems the over the knee trend is here to stay with so many options out there. Here are a few of my picks. I should be getting my black pair soon.

Are you a fan of over the knee boots?

Layered Sweater Dress

I am switching things up from all the browns I've been wearing lately to wearing some more color. I'm trying this layered sweater dress look for the first time.  I don't own too many sweater dresses because I don't think they flatter my body shape. I've gotten rid of a few because they just didn't fit right. Of course I had gotten them because I liked the way they looked on the models. This one is just okay and passes the non clingy, doesn't show all the lumps test. If I had slightly bigger hips in relation to my top area I think it would fit better. But it's okay. Can't be perfect all the time.

Feeling Fall with Orange and Brown

I don't believe it's December already. It's already going to be a real busy month. This was choir uniform for Sunday. Today's message was about God's overflowing blessings. God can do more than you can ever think or imagine. I'm trusting Him big time.

Looks like I've been wearing a lot of dark brown lately and I realize I have a lot of items in this color. I don't know what had drawn me to this shade of brown in the past, but I'm making the best use of all my dark brown clothes by pairing them with bright complementary colors. It's actually a versatile color; an alternative to black. I wore the peplum top last exactly a year ago. Whoever said If you've not worn an item for year, toss it is lying. I have many items like this and I still plan on wearing them. I only toss if an item doesn't look right on me, like the items I'm selling in my closet. Please check them out.

Fall Brights: Poppy, Navy and Turquoise

We had balmy weather on Friday, so I decided to wear this blazer as my jacket for the day. It had been sitting in my closet and I didn't want another season to go by without wearing it. Once winter comes around, wearing blazers will no longer be an option, at least for me.
I love the contrast between the poppy and navy. These are two nice colors to wear together.

Have a lovely week and do not let anything weigh you down. Lay aside anything that wants to steal your joy or keep you from moving forward. I am working on this myself...trying not to let anything steal my joy. At church we learnt about thanksgiving. Be thankful for everything. Even when things aren't going the way you have imagined, just be thankful. What I'm going through doesn't even compare with all the stuff I'm hearing on the news. I am grateful, thankful and awed by God's mercy on me.

P.S. Every Monday, I will start sharing a teeny bit of what I've learned through out the week to inspire you...if you don't mind.

What I'm Loving to Stay Warm and Chic

Fall is in full swing with leaves all over and the days getting colder. Even a few sniffles and slight fever has gotten me down a little bit. I was in sweats on Wednesday and I was dressed to do dirty work on Thursday so no more outfit pics this week. But here are a few items I'm loving to keep warm, brighten up, stay moisturized and keep looking chic.

1. Infinity Scarf The infinity scarf takes the guess work out of tying a scarf and the red adds the needed pop of color to any outfit
2. Green Pencil Skirt This shade of green has been catching my eye lately. It's a great shade for the holidays. Wear with a red sweater, gold sparkly top or white button down shirt. I also see myself wearing this with a burgundy peplum top.
3. Over the Knee Boots I've also been interested lately in over the knee boots. I prefer the flat heeled ones though. If you are looking for another pair of tall boots, go over the knees.
4. Puffer Belted Jacket A belted puffer jacket will keep you warm, yet looking stylish. I have this on my wish list because I realize I don't have a warm casual jacket. And that is because puffer anything makes me look even more bulky. The belted option solves that problem.
5. Moisturizing Hand Cream I use this handcream and love it. Keep your hands feeling soft by moisturizing after every hand wash. You're washing your hands more this season right?
6. Tomorrow Perfume I also use and love this. I'm more drawn to perfumes that are oriental. This smells really nice. To know if this is right perfume for you, check the ones you have at home. If the color is the same as this one, then you will like it.

...and I just got two pairs of boots from DSW. This pair and this pair. They are both over the knee and were two for the price of one as far as I am concerned with free shipping and extra discounts. I think a shopping ban should go into effect soon though.

Have a Great Weekend!
