The Sleeveless Button Down

Trying a fitted and flared look with this outfit to balance out my inverted triangle shape. I'm becoming a fan of sleeveless button downs for the hot weather. I've found that they go with everything and can be layered for fall.

And I think it's time to get rid of these pants. After taking pictures I realized they are too short or they need to be worn only with flat shoes. I don't know what happens to some of my pants. They become shorter than I remember them after a few years but retain the same fit in other places. I know I'm not growing any taller so something is going on.

Breezy Maxi

It was so hot on Saturday, so I decided to whip out my Avon Printed Maxi. You hardly find maxi dresses that cover you up in all the needed places. This one is bra friendly (all my bras have bigger straps than a lot of sleeveless dresses...aaargh) and covers the chest plus the empire waist style conceals a big mid section.

Dress - Avon
I don't see these online but you can send orders to me if you would like one. It's $29.99 plus 20% OFF (kemiavon@hotmail.com)

Floral Skirt Remix

I'm taking on another challenge and linking up at  Marionberry's Style for a pattern mixing challenge. I would never have thought of mixing prints but I thought I'd try.

Top - Mark (Avon), Skirt - Old Navy, Belt - Macy's
This skirt can be paired with a lot of colors; blue, yellow, brown, white, beige and black. In my pre blogging days, I would have paired this skirt with only black. Now I'm paring it with something even more daring; another printed item. This is what makes a wardrobe so versartile.

And take two: With Gingham. Who would have thought?

Top - Old Navy

Le Vest to the Rescue

I changed outfits three times the other day. Taking pictures does a better job than the mirror of how I look sometimes. I didn't feel perfectly balanced in the first two pictures. Some tops combined with the wrong bottom show how busty I really am. By the end of the day I went with option 3 to balance my shape out better thanks to the vest and thicker pants.

Bow Blouse - The Limited (similar here), Vest - Sears (similar here) Pants #1 - The Limited, Jeans - The Limited

I love the fit of the pants in 1 and 2 but they would be better with higher heels and something more snug on top. And those jeans are great if you have small hips like mine to create some curves.
