This week's Style me Friday Link up theme over at Fashionista Next Door is slacks. This is what I'm actually supposed to wear to work everyday but I end up wearing my skirts, dresses and crops sometimes because I do like to dress up. A lot of things are still begging to be worn in my closet but they are not appropriate for my life style. I even have to wear a uniform on Sundays for church because I sing in the choir. Many of my outfits that I do not post are basically those days I wear my slacks. So here's one of the ways I wear my slacks.
I always end up wearing a dress whenever I wake up too late to think of mixing and matching the right outfit. I just couldn't decide what to wear. This dress was my go to and sigh of relief for today...so sometimes I don't feel guilty when I walk into Target for toilet paper and go by the clothes section first to see what might be on sale because I usually get stuff that come in handy down the line. yes??. So this dress I got two years ago on sale at Target.
The color of shoes I really thought would go with it (which I don't have in my closet) are these ones that Heather is wearing here. I'm wearing comfortable flats because as we speak, I have a knee injury. I hope it will be better by Sunday so I can wear my heels.
This was the choir uniform for Sunday. You must know all the color combos for our choir by now :). This is not the navy skirt I wanted to wear. I was going to wear a pleated navy skirt since I've worn this a few times already (We wear navy quite a bit so I wanted to change things up. We wore this exact outfit this time last year). Well, I don't know what I was thinking...I decided to iron the skirt and I put a hole in it. That's the end of that one. And I paid the full price of $22.99 for that skirt at Target. Oh well! Now I'm on the hunt for a new navy pleated skirt. If not, you'll see this one over and over again because we have to wear navy again soon.
