Mustard and Leopard

I'm loving mustard for fall and it's a really versatile color which I'm learning to style. I'm pairing it with plain black but with a pop of leopard. I love this sweater top from The Limited, especially the sleeves. Sweater tops are a great addition to one's closet. Can't wait to wear it with a pleated skirt.

One More Summer Dress

I've held off bringing out my sweaters and still holding on to my summer clothes but it's time to accept the fact that summer is over. I think I'm done wearing summer dresses on their own and it's time to start layering with tights and long sleeve cardigans; because summer dresses, the fall chill and leaves on the floor don't mix.

This is another nice dress from Old Navy that fits my bust area and hides the big mid section.

The Versatile Mustard Cardigan

This famous mustard cardigan is more versatile than I thought. It goes with everything. Pair with Navy Blue, Cobalt, Gray, Black and White, Cream, Olive and here, Burgundy/Wine......If you're thinking of getting a nice colored cardi, mustard is the way to go but it is hard to find. I got this one from Target last year.

On a shopping trip to The Limited months ago, I had on my mustard cardigan and it seemed to go with everything I tried on that day.

The pants in the middle never made it into my closet because at that time I still wasn't sure about colored pants.

Day to Night

There are some days when there's so much going on that I have to change outfits for each occassion or take my outfit from day to night. This happens to me mostly on Saturdays. From running errands to attending choir rehearsal, to attending some party afterwards. I'm always taking an extra pair of shoes, cardigan, or some other clothing item with me whenever I leave the house. We had a special event at church on Tuesday after work, so a quick belt, skirt and shoe change was all I needed.

Mascara Facts for Super Drama Lashes

Today, we'll be talking about mascara. This is another beauty product I believe every woman should own and use. Many women say that this is one product they would use if there was only one make up product they have. So, why use mascara? The eyes, I believe are one of the most important features God gave us and I believe bright and open eyes makes a lot of difference in the way you look. Not just for the sake of beauty, but your eyes tell a lot about you.

Here are the facts:
1. Mascara helps to lengthen, provide fulness to lashes and thickens them. This in turn opens your eyes more and makes them more noticeable.

Colored Pants

So I finally own a pair of colored pants that's not Navy or white. I'm slowly easing into the trend. Printed pants next?
I like these ones because they fit and give definition to my non existent hips. You can find your Specific pant fit from the Mossimo line at Target based on your Body type. I am Fit 3. The pants are also mid rise- perfect for my mid section. I tried a similar pair at Gap that didn't work out so well.

Lace and Cognac Wedges

Lace is hitting the stores in larger numbers this season but it's a trend that's been around. All these trends pop up and you realise you have one or two of the items in your closet. This dress was sold last year at Avon. Just never wore it because I feel it is too short for me; even now. So I wore this just at home. Just wanted to show case it incase anyone wants one.

Simple Black and Pink

I resorted to my old safe way of wearing bright colors with a neutral color. No Color Blocking here. I think I'm getting tired of that trend anyway. I was so tired the day I wore this so I went with my black goes with anything trend.

I realize from this picture that knee length is the most flattering skirt length for me. I'm beginning to see more and more what flatters and what doesn't from taking pictures.  Now I  have to pay attention to the exact length of my skirts?...We'll see.

African Attire

This past week was my sister in law's wedding. For most Nigerians who attend weddings, custom made outfits from African prints are worn with a head tie. Don't ask me how I put that on my head because I don't know how to tie a head tie. I highjacked someone to do it for me.
