Cobalt Maxi Remix

Looks like cobalt is making a comeback.  It's one of the shades of blue I'm always drawn to, evidenced by the pieces I've added to my closet over the years. A few examples seen here, here, here and here. I actually wore something cobalt three times this past week.

Red Blue and Grey

I wore this floral top recently with jeans and grabbed it again today to wear with a pencil skirt. The colors and peplum style makes it so versatile and I do wear it a lot every summer. I might wear it with my green pencil skirt before the summer is over.

In the third picture, the blogger pose where I'm looking down, a friend who saw one of my posts with the same pose asked me a few weeks ago if I had lost a quarter. This is why I still hide this blog from friends! Happy Wednesday....It's almost Friday.

Yellow and Leopard

This dress is one of the items I featured in my "Loving Yellow" post a few months ago. I finally got to wear it since I didn't have to wear a uniform to church today. The teenagers took over the church service so we didn't have to sing. Fit and flare styles are perfect for any body type and I love the skirt part of the dress the most.

Denim Skirt and Peplum

A denim pencil skirt is a piece that can be dressed up for work or dressed down for the weekend. Pairing it with this peplum top and ankle strap heels is a great way to wear it for work. The peplum top looks much better in person. I love the graphic design and the leather cap sleeves. 

I felt comfortable wearing the skirt all day. The only thing I don't like about it is that it further flattens my non existent behind, so I'm wearing the peplum top to add some fullness and cancel the flattening effect (sorry no side views). So, if you have a big behind, a denim skirt will work wonders.

Baseball Tee

A baseball tee is a fun addition to any closet. I've been looking for one for the longest time and was happy when I found this one at Gap. I bought it in the store for full price, then found it online on sale, got an additional 40% off and returned the one I bought in the store. It ended costing me $11.99. I plan to wear it with a pencil skirt next and maybe bermuda shorts. Do you like the baseball tee trend?

It's here! Avon's new Mega Effects Mascara offers phenomenal panoramic volume and transforms lashes form corner to corner.
Here's my honest review. I've tried it and I love it. It does lengthen and curl my lashes and opens up my eyes. I still see some length after I take it off. The only thing I'll say is that I don't see much volume; my lashes are not thick to begin with. It is easy to use and covers the whole lash area with one sweep. It   lengthens my lashes so much that they touch my eyelids so I try not to blink for a few seconds after applying the mascara. If you hate false lashes like I do, this is a great alternative.

Black Peplum and White Pencil Skirt

Happy Sunday everyone. Sorry for my lack of posts. It's been hard taking pictures because my daughter has been away and right now, no one does it better than she does. 

This was choir uniform for church. This is my first time owning or wearing a white pencil skirt. I've been searching for one for years (they are always sold out) and finally found this one at Macy's and is also sold out. 

The white reminds me of how clean we should be as Christians. I made sure I cleaned my seat before getting into the car and before sitting down anywhere in church. I did not want a stain on the back of the skirt. No wonder God likens us to being dressed in white. When we have this in mind that we are spiritually dressed in white, we will always be careful what we allow come near us so as to avoid getting stained...and of course before the day was over, there was a stain on the skirt. But no worries, it will be washed....just like we always receive forgiveness and cleansing by the blood of the lamb.
